MD Enamul Haque is an internationally distinguished executive and leader in micro financial services and financial inclusion, bringing an unparalleled 45 years of experience to the sector. He currently serves as a Chief Advisor for Chetona and a Senior Advisor to ASAI Group PLC. Ltd. From October 2008 until June 2023, he held the pivotal role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) for ASA International (ASAI), where he was instrumental in driving the organization’s global expansion and operational excellence.

Mr. Haque’s expertise covers the full spectrum of operational leadership, including field operations and successfully establishing new microfinance institutions globally. Under his leadership, ASA (Bangladesh) scaled to serve over 6.4 million borrowers and manage a $2.6 billion loan portfolio, setting a global benchmark.

At ASA International, he extended the footprint to 13 countries across Asia and Africa, reaching more than 1.3 million clients with a portfolio of $351.2 million (as of December 2022).
