Md. Asiful Haque is a seasoned international consultant and technology leader currently serving as the Executive Director for Chetona. He brings over 17 years of experience in microfinance, Digital Financial Services (DFS), Core Banking System (CBS) transformation, and large-scale project management across the USA, Asia, and Africa. Mr. Haque’s career began at ASA International as a Manager–Development, where he contributed to the establishment of microfinance operations in India and Pakistan, developing crucial feasibility studies and operational plans. Today, he is focused on pioneering the “tech and touch” operational model at Chetona—leading complex CBS upgrades, massive change management, and securing strategic FinTech and MNO partnerships to drive scale and compliance.

His previous executive roles include serving as COO at Ambala International, and over a decade as a Senior Project Manager at Cognizant Technology Solutions in the U.S. His expertise bridges microfinance domain knowledge with advanced digital solutions, enabling organizations to scale efficiently and sustainably in emerging markets. Mr. Haque holds an MBA in International Business from the National University, San Diego, USA.
